How to write a story

In class we are doing writing to teach someone how to do something, and we call it procedure writing. A procedure text is a text of instructions, normally with a intro, a list of things to do, and instructions. I did How to write a story. I had trouble making the first word of every instruction a verb, but I made it really good when I went back to the writing after I finished my first draft and made it great. (Always remember to go back an correct your mistakes after you have done your first draft to make it proper writing with no mistakes or anything bad) Enjoy!!! And make a story!!!! And enjoy!!! I already said that!!! I am so random at the moment!!!!
How to write a story

Intro
Have you ever written your own story? Trust me, it is fun!!! You can write your story about HEAPS of things. An action story? An animal story? A story about magic? You can set your story anywhere. A magical castle under ground full of goblins and trolls? The streets of kalawalla on planet jansarvo in a universe far, far, away? The death star? The possibilities are endless. A story about three spies who found out about a group of evil scientists making a dog with three heads and ten-inch claws and teeth and are about to be let out onto New York and they have to stop them before they let go of the dog in ten minutes? Actually, that’s not a bad idea! Read on to make your own story. WARNING!!!! It may become too fun and you might go crazy for ten years until you become more… mature, lets say.
What you will need:
  • A piece of paper… or two…. Or nine……
  • A pencil
  • A pencil sharpener
  • An eraser
  • A ruler
  • This procedure
Instructions;
Sharpen your pencil.
  1. Draw straight lines on your paper, not quite touching the edges of the paper using the ruler.
2. flip the paper over When you have about five lines space.
3. Draw a line just above the last line, and let it touch the edges.
4. Draw a box above the long line.
5. draw a small, appropriate cover for your story, not drawing inside the box,  In the space above the long line.
6. Write the name of your story/title in the box that you have not drawn in above the long line.
7. Decide if you are going to have your story in first person or in a way that you are commentating the story.
8. Write an introduction after that. For example, if you are doing a first person one start with something like, ‘There I was. Hunched down under the table, listening to their evil plan. Wait... let me go back.’ Or if you are doing a commentating story, ‘One day, in the outskirts of the planet jansarvo an alien hid inside a bin… hoping not to get noticed. He could see the red and blue lights flashing from outside…’ sorry, I got carried away writing. See, it is fun!!! Also, you need to introduce your characters.
9. Carry on with your story letting it have a beginning, a build up, a problem, a thing that solves the problem, and an end.

Use this story mountain to help you.
10. Write your build up next. You might want to do something like They escape a farm that they work on but hate, and their mean parents chase them, and she has to hid in a rubbish bin, and the parents go home without her, and the rubbish truck picks her up, and she finds out that the rubbish centre is the bad guys base, and I think I am getting carried away now. The build up has to start the adventure, and in most of the buildups in stories, the main character normally moves from the starting spot. Also in the build up, the main character normally finds clues about the bad guy thingy. And makes friends to go on the adventures together with.

11. Make a problem now that you have your build up. The problem usually is when the main character finds out what the clues mean, and they usually go to the bad guy or something.

12. Writing the the resolution is one of the most tricky parts of writing a story. It is usually when the main character beats the bad guy or does anything to solve the problem. There are lots of ways the main character could solve the problem. He/she could sacrifice their life, lead the bad guy into a trap, or anything else you could think of! Explode the baddy base! Let a giant baddy robot sink into a giant pit of quicksand! (And make it explode, it has to explode). Or someone could shut down all power and the bad guys computers would explode because they aren’t used to being off and it burns the bad guy and I am getting carried away again!

13. Writing the ending is the next thing to do. But don’t worry!!! The end of the story could be a new beginning!!! It could be a sad ending, it could be a twist ending, it could be an exciting ending! Make the ending a start to a new adventure, as in, the start of the sequel! A new bad guy turns up and the story ends with them about to fight? The possibilities are endless!!! Well, even though I only gave you one idea.

Once you’ve accomplished finishing your ending, one more thing to do. Go right down for a long time slowly.

Copy it all down onto a computer! How fun!!! The reason that you have to do this is that a computer has auto correct, and that means no mistakes!!! You must look like this right now. 0.0 . But do not worry!!! AAAA!!! PUT THAT KNIFE DOWN!!! YOU DON’T NEED TO COPY IT ALL DOWN ONTO A COMPUTER IF YOU DON’T WANT TO!!! Whew,I didn’t think that you would write a story that long.

As you can see, I am funny. I hope you enjoyed MAKING A STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
